Toshi

Toshi is first and foremost a sake aficionado. This has led him to found "Sake Street Inc." last year, where he will be able to distribute sake specially selected by him across the globe. His next challenge is to open a liquor storespecialized in sake in Asakusabashi(浅草橋). Scheduled to open this November, he hopes it will be the melting pot for Japanese and foreigners alike to explore the world of sake. Before pursuing his passion for sake, Toshi worked for notable financial institutions in Tokyo and London.

Shoko

Welcome to Aoyama Sake Flea 2019 Autumn! Over 20 sake breweries from all over Japan are getting together in Aoyama Tokyo just only for two days, I mean, special two days! There are different places, different sake. They serve unique sake produced by their own philosophy. So this is a big chance to talk with these breweries face to face, taste exclusive sake, and know about sake culture more deeply. I’d like to dive into this sake world with you and help you to discover your favorite one.

I’m also an admirer of sake culture and keep learning it more. I’ve been working in a film and theatrical industry as a playwright/translator/coordinator. I’ve totally fallen love with sake world since I visited a local sake brewery with our foreign crew. My passion and drive for culture, history, and food culture led the way to this amazing tour guiding calling.

One of legendary brewers says; “Machines start to break when they are introduced, but people start to grow up when they step into the brewery.”

I look forward to meeting you and sharing wonderful experience with you.
